After arriving, begin your journey by exploring the city's main attractions, including Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Laos, and Wat Prakeo, which once served as the royal temple. Along the way, stop at the renowned That Luang Stupa, the most significant landmark in the country, and the impressive Patuxay Monument. Stay overnight in Vientiane.
Day 02
Vientiane – Express Train to Luang Prabang (B, L)
Travel to Luang Prabang by train. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and taken to visit the National Museum at the Royal Palace and the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre. After the visit, head back to your hotel.
Day 03
Luang Prabang – Pakou Caves (B, L)
Join the optional early morning alms-giving ceremony to saffron-robed monks. Afterward, visit the city's temples, including Wat Sene and Wat Xieng Thong, before embarking on a boat trip to explore the Pak Ou Caves. Along the way, take in the serene views of the peaceful countryside. In the afternoon, stop by villages such as Ban Xang Hai, known for its local rice wine production, as well as other small communities.
Day 04
Luang Prabang – Asia Elephant Riding – Kuang Si Waterfalls (B, L)
Head out to explore Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, and Wat Mai. Afterward, enjoy an elephant ride, taking you on a 35-minute journey through the forest, followed by a visit to several ethnic minority villages. Continue your trip to the Kuang Si Waterfalls, then hike to the top of Mount Phousi for stunning views of the city and river at sunset. End the day with a visit to the Night Market before returning to the hotel.
Day 05
Luang Prabang Departure (B)
Spend your free time exploring the morning Phosi Market, where you can discover dried buffalo skins, local teas, saltpeter, and a variety of food items and hill-tribe textiles. Afterward, head to the airport for your departure flight.
