Day 01
Luang Prabang Arrival
Upon arrival, you'll be taken to visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, followed by the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Afterward, ascend Mount Phousi to explore its sacred, gilded stupa, capturing panoramic views of the city and the Mekong River bathed in the setting sun's glow. Conclude your day by exploring the vibrant Night Market, where you can immerse yourself in local culture and crafts.
Day 02
Luang Prabang – Elephant Camp (B, L)
Begin your adventure by visiting the Adventure & Elephant Camp, located approximately 15 kilometers from town amidst unspoiled natural greenery. After crossing a small river, you'll meet our Asian elephants and embark on an enchanting 1 to 1.5-hour journey through forests, plantations, and fields. Following a visit to the waterfall, enjoy a served lunch before relaxing during a 30-minute rafting tour along the river back to the resort. Overnight accommodations will be at Lao Spirit Resort.
Day 03
Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave (B, L)
You will return to Luang Prabang for a guided tour of its oldest temples, starting with Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong. Afterward, embark on an upstream boat journey along the Mekong River, stopping at Ban Xanghai village to sample local Lao rice wine. On the return trip, take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village renowned for its handwoven textiles.
Day 04
Luang Prabang – Flight to Pakse – Khong Island (B)
Begin your day by visiting the Lao National Museum, housed in a historic French colonial building from 1925, which showcases the nation's history and the Lao people's struggle for independence. After exploring the museum, head to the Central Market to experience local commerce and culture. Later, catch a flight to Pakse. Upon arrival, drive south on National Road No. 13 to Khong Island, the largest island in the Mekong River's 4,000 islands region, renowned for its picturesque landscapes.
Day 05
Khong Island – Khone Phapheng Resort (B, L)
Begin your exploration by visiting the local villages of Ban Khone, immersing yourself in the daily life and culture of the residents. Next, embark on a boat journey through the 4,000 islands region to reach the Liphi Waterfall, also known as Somphamit Waterfall, renowned for its natural beauty and marking the border between Laos and Cambodia. Afterward, return to Ban Nakasang and drive to the Khone Phapheng Falls, the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia, often referred to as the "Niagara of the East" due to its impressive size and powerful flow.
Day 06
Khone Phapheng Resort – Veun Kham – Departure (B)
Enjoy your free time until your transfer to either the Dong Kralor or Veun Kham border gate for your onward journey.
