Day 01
Arrival Paske – Khong Island
After arriving, board a boat for a 2-hour cruise to Champasak, then continue by car to Khong Island, part of the 4000 islands region where the Mekong River reaches its widest during the rainy season. Along the way, stop to explore the ruins of the Khmer temple Oup Mong at Ban Houei Tomo. From there, head to Ban Nakasang pier and take a long-tail motorboat to the serene Khong Island.
Day 02
Khong Island – Pakse (B, L)
Start your journey by revisiting the French colonial history at Ban Khone, followed by a boat trip to explore the 4000 islands and see the stunning Liphi Waterfall. Return to Ban Nakasang and drive to Khone Phapheng Waterfall, the largest in Southeast Asia, often called the "Niagara of the East." After lunch, head to Pakse, stopping along the way at Phou Asa to explore the remnants of an 18th-century temple.
Day 03
Pakse – Bolaven – Tadlo (B, L)
Take a trip to Tadlo through the Bolaven Plateau, where you can observe traditional coffee and tea production. Along the way, stop at the ethnic villages of Ban Tateng to learn about the unique lifestyles of the Alack, Katu, and Nge tribes. Continue your journey to the picturesque village of Tadlo, where you will check in at the Tadlo Resort. From there, enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural pool of Tad Lo Waterfall, located near the resort.
Day 04
Tadlo – Pakse – Flight to Vientiane (B, L)
Return to Pakse to catch your flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival, visit the revered Wat Sisaket, the city's oldest temple, and the former royal temple, Wat Prakeo. On the way to the iconic and sacred That Luang Stupa, make a stop to snap some photos of the striking Patuxay Monument. End the day with a serene sunset by the Mekong River.
Day 05
Vientiane – Express Train to Luang Prabang (B, L)
Travel to Luang Prabang by express train. Upon arrival, visit Wat Visoun, where the remarkable Thad Makmo stupa stands, then ascend 350 steps to admire panoramic views from Phousi Hill. Continue your journey to Wat Mai, an exquisite temple built in 1796, showcasing a graceful five-tiered wooden roof that reflects the elegance of Luang Prabang’s architecture. End the day by immersing yourself in the lively atmosphere of the Night Market.
Day 06
Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves (B, L)
Take a brief guided tour of Wat Sene, the city's oldest temple, followed by a visit to the stunning Wat Xiengthong. Afterward, embark on a boat trip upstream along the Mekong River. Along the way, stop by Ban Xanghai, a village famous for its traditional rice wine production. Upon returning to Luang Prabang, take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village renowned for its exquisite handwoven textiles.
Day 07
Luang Prabang Departure (B)
Explore the National Museum, formerly the royal palace, where a variety of the royal family's personal belongings are exhibited. Inside, you'll find photographs, musical instruments, and numerous diplomatic gifts from foreign dignitaries. Afterward, head to the airport for your departure flight home.
