Day 01
Vientiane Arrival (D)
Upon arrival, start your journey by visiting the city's key landmarks: Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in the country, and Wat Prakeo, which once served as the royal temple. Along the way, make a stop at That Luang Stupa, the most important symbol of Laos, and the grand Patuxay Monument. In the evening, savor a welcome dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Day 02
Vientiane – Express Train to Vang Vieng (B, L)
Visit Buddha Park, a fascinating collection of Buddhist and Hindu statues situated near the Friendship Bridge. If time permits, explore Ban Nong Bouathong, a village famous for its weaving traditions, before taking a train to Vang Vieng, a serene town resting along the Nam Song River. End the day with a breathtaking sunset reflecting over the river.
Day 03
Vang Vieng – Tham Jang Caves (B, L)
Explore Tham Jang caves, historically used by locals as a shelter during Chinese invasions. Afterwards, drive through scenic rice fields to reach Tham Phoukham, a limestone cave nestled in a lush forest. Along the journey, interact with local villagers and discover their way of life. In front of the caves, you'll find a natural pool where you can take a refreshing swim to cool off.
Day 04
Vang Vieng – Express Train to Luang Prabang (B, L)
Enjoy some free time to relax before heading to the train station for your journey to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and taken to visit Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, Wat Mai, and the National Museum located in the Royal Palace.
Day 05
Luang Prabang – Pakou Caves (B, L)
Explore two of the city’s oldest temples, Wat Sene and Wat Xieng Thong, before enjoying a boat ride along the Mekong River to visit the Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha statues. Along the way, stop by two small villages, then hike up to Wat Chomphet for a stunning view of Luang Prabang. Later, take a short trip to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lek, villages famous for their silk weaving and handmade Saa paper. Return to the city and end the day by watching the sunset at Wat Phabath.
Day 06
Luang Prabang – Ban Long Lao – Kuang Si Waterfalls (B, L)
Travel to the Khmu village of Ban Long Lao Nong and the Hmong village of Ban Long Lao Song, where you can learn about the unique traditions and lifestyles of these two distinct ethnic groups. Afterward, visit other minority villages to see how they live and work. Continue to Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you can take a dip in the clear turquoise pools or explore the forest trails. Later, head to Mount Phousi to visit the sacred stupa and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city as the sun sets.
Day 07
Luang Prabang Departure (B)
Based on your flight schedule, enjoy some leisure time to unwind or continue exploring the town at your own pace before being transferred to the airport for your departure.
