Day 03
Amarapura – Sagaing – Mingun (B)
Visit Mahagandayon Monastery, where hundreds of young novices immerse themselves in Buddhist scriptures while following strict monastic discipline. Then, head to Sagaing Hill, a spiritual hub adorned with countless pagodas and monasteries. Later, take a boat trip along the Ayeyarwaddy River to explore Mingun Village, where you will visit Settawya Pagoda, the unfinished Mingun Pahtodawgyi, and the stunning Myatheintan Pagoda.
Day 04
Mandalay – Bagan (B)
Explore Mahamuni Pagoda, home to one of Myanmar’s most venerated Buddha images. Stop by Kyauktawgyi Pagoda to admire its immense Buddha statue, meticulously sculpted from a single marble block. Visit Shwenandaw Monastery, renowned for its intricate wooden carvings, and Kuthodaw Pagoda, often referred to as the "World’s Biggest Book" due to its stone-inscribed Buddhist scriptures. Conclude with a tour of Mandalay Palace before continuing to Bagan.
Start the day at Nyaung U Market before visiting Shwezigon Pagoda, known for its magnificent golden stupa. Continue to Kyansittha Umin, Wet-kyi-in Gubyaukgyi Temple with its superb Jataka murals, and Htilominlo Temple. Afterward, explore a traditional lacquerware workshop before heading to Manuha Temple, Nang Phaya, and the architectural masterpiece, Ananda Temple. End the day by admiring the vibrant murals at Oak-Kyaung Monastery and enjoying a breathtaking sunset from Shwesandaw Pagoda.
Explore Lawkananda Pagoda before visiting East and West Phet Leik, known for their Jataka clay plaques. Continue to Thatbyinnyu Temple, Shwegugyi Temple, the ancient palace site, and Tharabar Gate. In the afternoon, discover Apeyadana Temple with its Mahayana-style paintings, Nagayon Temple, and the Archaeological Museum. Bagan – Flight to Yangon (B)
Fly to Yangon and begin your afternoon exploration. Stop by Karaweik Hall, a majestic royal barge on the Royal Lake, for a photo opportunity. Continue to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, home to a colossal reclining Buddha. Then, head downtown to explore Chinatown’s bustling fruit market and Yangon’s city center. Conclude your day at the iconic Shwedagon Pagoda, where you can witness its golden dome glowing beautifully at sunset.
Day 08
Yangon Departure (B)
Begin your morning with a shopping trip to Treasure, Gems, and Handicrafts shops. Then, explore Bogyoke Aung San Market, a great place to find unique souvenirs. Later, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
