Short Itinerary in Northern Vietnam (3 – 4 days)
With 3-4 days for a trip, it is better that you focus on travel time in Hanoi and Halong Bay where you will spend one day exploring the capital Hanoi, the other two days you will be relaxing on the cruise in Halong Bay. Or if you are a person who is interested in learning about culture, like mountain scenery, and wants to experience daily life with local people, the idea of a trip combining two places: Halong Bay and Sapa is not a bad idea.
Long Itinerary in Northern Vietnam (6 – 8 days)
If the length of the trip is 7 – 8 days, you will have a deep & complete view of North Vietnam. Beside the three above destinations that you should visit in any tour of North Vietnam, you will spend one more day exploring Ninh Binh (Trang An or Tam Coc) which is known as the ‘Halong Bay on land’.
