Day 01
Chiang Rai Arrival
After arriving in Chiang Rai, meet the driver at the airport and head to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy your free time at leisure. Stay overnight in Chiang Rai.
Day 02
Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle (B)
Head out to explore Chiang Rai, a scenic city surrounded by lush mountains and forests. Stroll through the local market before making your way to Doi Mae Salong, where you'll navigate rolling green hills covered in tea plantations. Visit the Museum of Opium, then board a long-tail boat to cross to the Lao side, where you'll take in panoramic views of the legendary "Golden Triangle" from a hilltop. Conclude the journey by meeting fascinating ethnic tribes, including the Yao, Akha, and the renowned Long Neck women.
Day 03
Chiang Rai – Thaton – Chiang Dao – Chiang Mai (B)
Head to Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple, a masterpiece created by Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat. Continue your journey to Thaton to explore Wat Thaton, a vast temple complex spanning over 160 acres across rolling hills. Along the way, stop by a Palong Hilltribe village for a glimpse into their traditional lifestyle. After leaving the town, proceed to Chiang Dao to explore two caves, both illuminated and adorned with statues, shrines, and Buddha images.
Day 04
Chiang Mai – Mae Kam Pong – Chiang Mai (B, L)
Set off for Mae Kampong village, traveling through Chiang Mai’s scenic countryside. Along the way, stop at a local market to pick fresh ingredients for your lunch. Upon arrival, take a leisurely walk through the community forest, passing by tea and coffee plantations. Return to the village to observe your host family preparing lunch, then unwind with a traditional Thai massage. Later, explore the village to learn about the process of fermenting tea leaves and discover a variety of handmade local products.
Day 05
Chiang Mai – Doi Inthanon – Chiang Mai (B)
Visit Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand’s highest peak at 2,590 meters. Discover its diverse beauty, including wild roses, "thousand-year pink" vanda orchids, red rhododendrons, waterfalls, and rivers. Stop by Sirithan and Wachirathan waterfalls, the Royal Project Agricultural Research Center, the two royal pagodas, and the highest point in Thailand. End the trip with a walk along the 360-meter Ang Ka nature trail, embracing the tranquility of nature.
Day 06
Baan Chang Elephant Park (B, L)
Head to Baan Chang Elephant Park, where you’ll change into traditional park attire upon arrival and prepare fruits for the elephants. After lunch, make sticky rice mixed with herbs for them before spending more time feeding, roaming, and walking alongside them to a pond where they cool off—giving you the chance to join in their bath. You’ll also get to feed them sticky rice balls or fruits. After a short break, enjoy a visit to interact and play with baby elephants.
Day 07
Chiang Mai – Doi Suthep – Departure (B)
Head to the mountain temple of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, where its stunning golden pagoda, topped with 6 kg of pure gold and plated in gold, gleams over the city. The ringing of temple bells creates a serene atmosphere, while the panoramic city view offers a perfect photo opportunity. After the visit, proceed to the airport for your departure flight.
