Day 01
Phnom Penh Arrival
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted and taken to your hotel for check-in. Today, you'll receive a map of Cambodia, and we'll review your itinerary for the next eight days. We can also assist with currency exchange if needed. The remainder of your day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
You'll start by exploring the city's key landmarks: the National Museum, Royal Palace, Friendship Monument, Wat Phnom, Independence Monument, and Silver Pagoda. After lunch, you'll head to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former high school repurposed as a prison by the Khmer Rouge. The tour concludes with a visit to the Killing Fields, a memorial site where many lives were lost and interred during that dark period.
Day 03
Phnom Penh – Oudong Temple – Battambang (B)
Early in the morning, you'll be transferred to Battambang, a journey of about 5-6 hours. Along the way, you'll stop at Udong Temple, the former capital of Oudong, and at Phnom Praset to see an 8th-century pre-Angkorian temple and a reclining Buddha. Once in Battambang, you'll check in at your hotel and have time to relax.
Wandering around this authentic, off-the-beaten-track town, you'll visit the Ek Phnom temple, a local rice paper factory, the bustling market, and the historic colonial governor’s residence. Enjoy the famous bamboo train ride through the countryside and local villages, and finally, relax at Phnom Sampov as you watch millions of bats emerge from the cave at sunset.
Day 05
Battambang – Siem Reap – Floating Village (B)
We'll drive to Siem Reap - a journey of approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival, you'll embark on a boat excursion on Tonle Sap Lake, where you'll discover a floating village of fishermen, complete with floating schools, a police station, and more.
Day 06
Siem Reap – Angkor Wat – Angkor Thom – Ta Prohm Temples (B)
You'll be transferred to Angkor Thom, where you'll explore its iconic sites: the Bayon Temple, Baphuon, Leper King Terrace, Phimeanakas, Royal Enclosure, and Elephant Terrace. Afterward, you'll visit Ta Prohm, renowned as one of the most beautiful temples in the area. In the afternoon, your journey continues to Angkor Wat, the largest and most impressive temple, celebrated as one of the seven wonders of the world.
Day 07
Siem Reap – Big Tours – Banteay Srei Temple (B)
You'll be picked up at 8:00 AM for a visit to Banteay Srei Temple, an authentic 10th-century Hindu temple celebrated as the jewel of classical Khmer art and a favorite among visitors. In the afternoon, you'll explore both Banteay Samre and Pre Rup temples before returning to your hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 08
Siem Reap Departure (B)
Based on your departure schedule, you'll have some free time to relax or explore the city at your leisure before being transferred to the airport for your departing flight.
