Amazing Cambodia

Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to your hotel for check in. Today, we will offer you a Cambodia map, and go through your itinerary for the next 8 days. We will also help you to exchange to local currency if needed. The rest of your time is free on your leisure. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

We will visit the main sights including Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Friendship Monument, Independence Monument, National Museum and Wat Phnom. After lunch, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the site is a former high school which was used as a prison by the communist Khmer Rouge. Next, visit the Killing Fields where large numbers of people were killed & buried by the communist Khmer Rouge.

Transfer to Kratie. First, we will drive to Kampong Cham and stop at Skun Market where you can try fried turantulas then stop for visiting Wat Nokhor Bachey temple (12th century), then continue our journey to Kratie, a province located on the Mekong River Bank. Then we take a local ferry crossing the Mekong River to Koh Trong Island to check in your hotel. Overnight in Kratie on Koh Trong Island.

We will take a local ferry back to the charming little town of Kratie. Kratie is quite well-preserved and still has some good examples of shop house architecture as well as some old Khmer wooden houses but is mostly the best place in Cambodia to see the freshwater Irrawaddy dolphins, then continue to visit 100 Columns pagoda. Afternoon we will explore Koh Trong Island in a tuk tuk. Overnight in Kratie on Koh Trong Island.

We will drive to Kampong Thom Province. A 4 hours ride by our private car through the beautiful countryside and farm will take us to the central city. Afternoon, we will visit Sambor Prei Kuk. This is the setting of the most impressive group of pre-Angkorian monuments anywhere in Cambodia which date back from the 6-7 century. There are more than 100 small temples, scattered through the forest. Return to Kampong Thom.

We transfer to Siem Reap on a distance of 146 km and you will be visiting Kampong Phluk Village, the fishermen’s village of Kompong Phluk on Tonle Sap Lake, during the dry season (Feb to Aug), the village can be reached by car or motorbike but in Sep, we take a boat ride to Kompong Phluk where visit the village with its houses on stilts, the pagoda and see the activities of the villagers before taking a traditional boat will take us on the big Tonle Sap Lake. Return to the boat pier and drive to the very beautiful town of Siem Reap.

Transfer to visit Angkor Thom including Elephant terrace, Leper King terrace, Baphuon, Royal enclosure, Phimeanakas and Bayon temple. Afterward, you will also visit Ta Prohm temple, one of the most beautiful temples in the area. After lunch, visit Angkor Wat where it is the largest & most impressive of all the temples and it is one of the 7 wonders of the world.

Pick up at 8:00 AM and then visit Banteay Srei Temple, the real Hindu temple built in the 10th century and it is considered to be the jewel of classical Khmer art. This temple is often a favorite among visitors. In the afternoon, visit the Banteay Samre and Pre Rup temple. Return to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Free on your own leisure until transfer to the airport for departure.
