Day 01
Phnom Penh Arrival
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and escorted to your hotel for check-in. We’ll provide you with a Cambodia map and walk you through your planned itinerary for the next eight days. If necessary, we can also assist with exchanging local currency. The remainder of the day is yours to unwind or explore at your leisure.
We will explore notable sites, including Wat Phnom, the National Museum, Independence Monument, Friendship Monument, the Silver Pagoda, and the Royal Palace. After lunch, we’ll visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, once a high school before being converted into a prison by the Khmer Rouge. Our journey then takes us to the Killing Fields, a somber site where many lives were tragically taken during the regime.
Day 03
Phnom Penh – Skun Market – Wat Norkor – Kratie (B)
Head to Kratie with a scenic drive through Kampong Cham. Along the way, stop at Skun Market, where you can sample fried tarantulas, and visit the 12th-century Wat Nokhor Bachey temple. Continue the journey to Kratie, a charming province along the Mekong River. Upon arrival, take a local ferry across the river to Koh Trong Island, where you’ll check in to your hotel.
Day 04
Kratie – Kampi River, Irrawaddy Dolphins – 100 Column Pagoda (B)
We’ll take a local ferry back to the quaint town of Kratie, known for its well-preserved shophouse architecture and traditional Khmer wooden homes. More importantly, it remains the top spot in Cambodia to witness the rare freshwater Irrawaddy dolphins. Afterward, we’ll visit the historic 100 Columns Pagoda. In the afternoon, enjoy a tuk-tuk ride as we explore the scenic Koh Trong Island.
Day 05
Kratie – Sambo Preikuk Temples – Kampong Thom (B)
We’ll journey to Kampong Thom Province, enjoying a scenic four-hour drive through picturesque countryside and farmland in our private car. In the afternoon, we’ll explore Sambor Prei Kuk, home to Cambodia’s most remarkable collection of pre-Angkorian monuments dating back to the 6th and 7th centuries. Over 100 ancient temples are hidden within the tranquil forest, offering a glimpse into the country’s rich history.
Day 06
Kampong Thom – Siem Reap – Kampong Phluk Fishing Village, Tonle Sap Lake (B)
Head to Siem Reap, where your first stop will be Kampong Phluk, a traditional fishing village on Tonle Sap Lake. From February to August, the village is accessible by car or motorbike, while in September, we’ll take a boat ride to reach it. Explore the stilted houses, visit the local pagoda, and observe daily life in the community before boarding a traditional boat to cruise the vast Tonle Sap Lake. Afterward, return to the boat pier and continue to your hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 07
Siem Reap – Angkor Wat – Angkor Thom – Ta Prohm Temples (B)
Begin the day with a visit to Angkor Thom, exploring iconic sites such as Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Baphuon, the Leper King Terrace, and the Elephant Terrace. Next, discover Ta Prohm, a breathtaking temple entwined with towering tree roots. After lunch, continue to Angkor Wat, the largest and most awe-inspiring temple of all, recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Day 08
Siem Reap – Big Tours – Banteay Srei Temple (B)
Head to Banteay Srei Temple, a stunning 10th-century Hindu sanctuary renowned as a masterpiece of classical Khmer architecture. Its intricate carvings and pink sandstone structure make it a favorite among visitors. In the afternoon, continue your journey with visits to Banteay Samre and Pre Rup temples, each showcasing unique architectural charm and historical significance.
Day 09
Siem Reap Departure (B)
Your departure schedule will determine whether you have some free time to unwind or explore the city at your own pace before being transferred to the airport for your flight.
