Day 01
Ho Chi Minh City Arrival [Vietnam]
Upon arrival, pick up at the airport then transfer to your hotel for check-in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 02
Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
Depart to Cu Chi Tunnels which are a maze of underground passages used by the Vietnamese communists during the Vietnam War as protection against the American air raids. After lunch, visit the War Remnants museum–it exhibited the old military equipment from the Vietnam War. Continue to visit the Reunification palace, formerly the Presidential palace that was the sight of South Vietnam’s surrender in April 1975. Walk down to see Notre Dame Cathedral then finish at General Post Office.
Day 03
Mekong Delta (B, L)
You will explore Ben Tre through a scenic boat ride along the river, witnessing traditional brick making, exploring coconut workshops and immerse yourself in local music. Then, you take a leisurely walk to a farmer's house crafting sleep mats, journey through coconut groves and local villages via tuk-tuk. After that, you will enjoy a rowing boat ride along palm tree-lined canals, followed by a lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 04
Ho Chi Minh City – Flight to Da Nang – Hoian (B)
Free to relax or explore more the city on your own until transfer to the airport for a flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, transfer to Hoian for check in and relax.
Day 05
Hoian – Basket Boat Tour (B, G)
You will visit Hoian’s vibrant market and ancient port to explore the rhythm of local daily life then enjoy a walking tour to visit the Hoian ancient town. After lunch, transfer to Cam Thanh, home to 7 hectares of coconut palm water to learn about the traditional art of making basket boats as well as the daily life of fishermen then take part in some hands-on activities in the basket boats that are fun, safe and interesting.
Day 06
Hoian – Da Nang – Flight to Hanoi (B)
Free time to relax on the beach or you can contact our travel consultant for more activities such as countryside tour, cycling tour, sunset cruise, cooking class, Golden bridge, My Son sanctuary, etc. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for a flight to Hanoi.
Transfer to visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex and the One Pillar pagoda. After that, visit the Ethnology museum where you can learn and see the various life aspects of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam. After lunch, continue to visit the Literature temple, well known as Vietnam’s first university. Your tour in Hanoi will continue with a cyclo tour around the Old Quarter then watch the traditional water puppet show.
Day 08
Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Leave Hanoi for Halong Bay. Upon arrival, board an overnight cruise to discover the legendary Halong Bay. Enjoy full board meals and many indoor and outdoor activities. Overnight on the cruise.
Day 09
Halong Bay – Hanoi (B)
Join a Tai Chi session then enjoy an international breakfast while the cruise cruises among hundreds of islets before coming back to the pier. Drive back to your hotel in Hanoi and free at leisure in the late afternoon.
Day 10
Hanoi – Flight to Luang Prabang (B) [Laos]
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for a flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel for check in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 11
Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves (B, L)
Visit the city’s oldest temples: Wat Sene & Wat Xieng Thong then take a boat trip along the Mekong river to the Pak Ou Caves where there are thousands of Buddha images. Stop to visit the two small villages then climb up to Wat Chomphet for the best view of Luang Prabang. Later, take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong and Ban XiengLek, small villages well known for silk weaving and Saa paper making, then return to the city and observe the sunset at Wat Phabath.
Day 12
Luang Prabang – Ban Long Lao – Kuang Si Waterfall (B, L)
Transfer to the Khmu village of Ban Long Lao Nong & the Hmong village of Ban Long Lao Song. Here, you will observe the lifestyles of these two culturally very different minority groups. Afterward, visit other ethnic minority villages and see how these colorful people live. Next, stop at the Kuang Si Waterfalls where you can swim in the turquoise pools or walk along forest paths then climb up to Mount Phousi for an exploration of the sacred stupa and a panoramic view of the city at sunset.
Day 13
Luang Prabang – Vang Vieng (B)
Transfer to visit the stupa of Wat Visoun, Wat Aham & Wat Mai and the National Museum at the Royal Palace then take an express train to Vang Vieng, a small and tranquil town nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Upon arrival, pick up then transfer to the hotel for check in.
Day 14
Vang Vieng – Tham Jang Caves (B, L)
You will explore the famous caves of Tham Jang then take a drive through paddy fields to the Tham Phoukham caves, the country’s beautiful and famous limestone caverns surrounded by forest. Along the way, you will meet local villagers and learn about their daily lifestyle. There is a small natural pool in front of the caves where you can swim and refresh yourself from the heat. The day ends with a superb sunset panorama reflecting over the Nam Song River.
Day 15
Vang Vieng – Vientiane (B, L)
Take an express train to Vientiane. Upon arrival, you will visit Wat Sisaket, the country’s oldest temple and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. En route, visit the That Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos and the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe. End of the day with a visit to the Buddha Park, a scattered and enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures near the Friendship Bridge.
Day 16
Vientiane Departure (B)
Depending on your departure time, you are free at leisure to explore the city more on your own or you can go shopping and then transfer to the airport for your own departure flight.
