Day 01
Ho Chi Minh City Arrival (D)
Upon arrival, pick up at the airport then transfer to the hotel for check in. Free at leisure. In the evening, welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 02
Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnel (B, L)
In the Morning, you will visit the main sights including the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Palace and the famous Ben Thanh Market. After lunch, drive to Cu Chi to visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi then go back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 03
Mekong Delta (B, L)
Transfer to Mekong Delta then take a boat trip to discover Caibe floating market where local people sell, buy and exchange goods on their boats. Visit a village to watch the process of making local products, observe daily activities, enjoy Vietnamese traditional music then take a small sampan rowing by hand of a local to feel the real Mekong river. Later, take another boat to Vinh Long, the center of tropical fruits and stop for a short visit at a local market.
Day 04
Ho Chi Minh City – Overnight Train to Da Nang (B) (15:30 – 09:50)
Free in the morning to explore the city more on your own. In the afternoon, transfer to the railway station for an overnight train to Da Nang. Overnight on the train.
Day 05
Da Nang – Hoian Ancient Town (B, L)
Following our morning arrival in Da Nang, visit the famous Cham Museum with its collection of relics from the Cham Kingdom. After that, continue to Hoian where you can wander around the old streets, a mixture of Japanese and Chinese architecture that reflects its history as an important trading port.
Day 06
Hoian – Free at Leisure (B)
Free time to relax on the beach or explore more the ancient town on your own. Or you can contact our travel consultant for more activities such as countryside tour, cycling tour, sunset cruise, cooking class, Golden bridge, My Son sanctuary, etc.
Day 07
Hoian – Hue (B, L)
Transfer to Hue, the cultural capital of Central Vietnam, stopping at the Lang Co beach and Hai Van pass for photograph, before touring Hue to visit the Imperial Citadel and Tu Duc tomb in the afternoon.
Day 08
Hue – Overnight Train to Hanoi (B) (16:30 – 05:45)
In the morning, continue to take a private tour in Hue to visit Thien Mu pagoda by boat and Tu Duc tomb. In the afternoon, take an overnight train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.
Arrival Hanoi in the early morning. After breakfast at a local restaurant, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Museum of Ethnology and the Temple of Literature. Afternoon you walk around Hoan Kiem lake before enjoying a one hour cyclo ride around the Old Quarter. In the early evening you will attend a performance of a traditional Water Puppet Theatre.
Heading out of Hanoi to Halong Bay, on arrival you cruise this UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoying a leisurely boat trip through the bay stopping to explore some of the many islands, caves and grottoes. Lunch is serviced on the boat. In the late afternoon, transfer back to Hanoi.
Day 11
Ninh Binh – Overnight train to Lao Cai (B, L) (22:00 – 06:00)
Transfer to Ninh Binh. Upon arrival, visit the Mua Cave where you will climb around 500 steps to enjoy an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc, rice fields and karst landscape. After lunch, take a sampan on a river through the rice paddies to Tam Coc where it is called “Inland Halong Bay”. In the evening, take an overnight train to Lao Cai.
Day 12
Lao Cai – Sapa (B)
Upon arrival, transfer to Cat Cat village, home of the H’Mong ethnic minority people. Here, you will enjoy a walking tour through the village, you will meet & talk with the local minority people and you will also have the opportunity to share cultural experiences when you visit some families that live in the area. In the afternoon, you are free to relax.
Day 13
Sapa – Lao Cai – Overnight train to Hanoi (B, L) (22:00 – 06:00)
Transfer for a walking tour through some hill tribe villages: Lao Chai & Ta Van, home of Black H’mong & Dzay people as well as Ta Phin village, home of Red Dzao people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. In the evening, take an overnight train back to Hanoi.
Day 14
Hanoi Departure (B)
On arrival at the train station, pick up and transfer to a mini hotel for rest and breakfast then transfer to the airport for your own departure flight home.
