Detailed Itinerary
Day 01

Luang Prabang Arrival

After arriving, you will be greeted and taken to your hotel. Enjoy your free time at leisure. Optional: In the early evening, you may join a special traditional Lao ceremony known as Baci, held at a local family’s home.
Day 02

Luang Prabang City Tour (B)

Head to the National Museum, formerly the Royal Palace, before exploring Wat Sene, the oldest temple, and the stunning Wat Xieng Thong. Continue your journey with visits to Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, Wat Mai, House of Huean ChanWat, and Phonphao. Returning to the city, stop by the Art and Ethnology Centre before ascending Mount Phousi for a breathtaking sunset view over Luang Prabang. Conclude the day by strolling through the Night Market, where you’ll find a delightful array of handcrafted goods.
Day 03

Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfalls (B)

Travel to Ban Long Lao, starting with a visit to the Khmu village of Ban Long Lao Nong, followed by the nearby Hmong village of Ban Long Lao Song. Continue exploring other ethnic minority villages to gain insight into their vibrant cultures and way of life. Next, head to the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you can take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear pools or enjoy a walk along the scenic forest trails. Conclude the day by returning to the city and witnessing the sunset at Wat Phabath.
Day 04

Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves (B)

Embark on a cruise upstream along the Mekong River, making a stop at the Pak Ou Caves, a revered site with two spacious caverns filled with thousands of Buddha statues. Continue to Ban Muangkeo, known for its traditional rice wine production, and visit Ban Xiengmene. Climb up to Wat Chomphet for a breathtaking panoramic view of Luang Prabang. Upon returning to the city, take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lek, two villages renowned for their silk weaving and Saa paper craftsmanship.
Day 05

Luang Prabang – Nong Khiaw (B)

Depart from this charming town and journey into the remote, mountainous landscapes of Northern Laos, heading toward Nong Khiaw. The breathtaking scenery of lush green peaks, combined with encounters with diverse local communities, makes for an unforgettable experience. Along the way, stop at Ban Na Yang village, home to the Thai Lui people, renowned for their intricate silk and cotton weaving. Upon reaching Nong Khiaw, visit Tam Pha Tok Cave, a historical refuge where villagers sought shelter during the Indochina War.
Day 06

Nong Khiaw – Muang Ngoy (B)

Cruise upstream along the Nam Ou River to Muang Ngoy. Upon arrival, embark on a 30-minute trek to Tham Kaang, a cave that once served as a refuge for villagers during the Indochina War. After exploring the cave, continue your walk to Ban Houay Boor, where you will stop for lunch. The journey then continues with a trek to Ban Na before making your way back to Nong Khiaw.
Day 07

Nong Khiaw – Luang Prabang – Express Train to Vang Vieng (B)

Head to Luang Prabang train station and board an express train to Vang Vieng. Upon arrival, embark on a one-hour cruise along the Nam Song River in a long-tail boat. Take in the stunning sunset as it reflects over the river, offering breathtaking views of Vang Vieng’s picturesque landscape. After the boat ride, transfer back to your hotel.
Day 08

Vang Vieng – Tham Phoutham (B)

Explore Tham Chang Cave, renowned for its rich history and captivating legends. Next, journey through scenic paddy fields to Tham Phoukham, a stunning limestone cavern nestled within lush forests. Along the way, interact with local villagers and gain insight into their daily lives. In front of the caves, a natural pool offers the perfect spot for a refreshing swim to escape the heat.
Day 09

Vang Vieng – Nam Ngum Lake – Vientiane (B)

Cross the river to Ban Huai Ngai, a charming village where you can experience the unique daily lives of the locals. From there, continue to Nam Ngum, a vast reservoir formed by the damming of the Nam Ngum River. Upon arrival, embark on a long-tail boat ride to visit fishing villages and observe the rhythms of local life. Conclude the journey in Vientiane, a captivating capital that reflects a rich blend of Lao, Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, American, and French influences.
Day 10

Vientiane (B)

Begin your day by visiting Vientiane's prominent landmarks, starting with Wat Sisaket, which houses over 8,000 Buddha images. Proceed to Wat Ho Phra Keo, formerly the residence of the Emerald Buddha statue, and then to Pha That Luang, a significant national monument. Next, explore the Patuxay Monument, constructed to honor those who perished in past conflicts. In the afternoon, journey to Buddha Park, a captivating array of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures near the Friendship Bridge. Conclude your day by witnessing a stunning sunset over the Mekong River.
Day 11

Vientiane – Flight to Pakse – Bolaven (B)

Upon your early arrival in Pakse, embark on a journey to the Bolaven Plateau. Your first destination is Houey Ten, a Katu village renowned for its traditional knifemaking craftsmanship. Continue to a local tea and coffee plantation to observe the cultivation of these vital crops in the region. Next, visit the picturesque Tad Fane Waterfall, celebrated for its stunning twin cascades. Proceed to Ban Bong Neua, an Alak village distinguished by its unique sacrificial altar, offering insights into the community's cultural practices. Afterward, explore the serene Tad Lo Waterfall before concluding your tour with a visit to the enchanting Pha Suam Waterfall, nestled within the Bolaven Plateau.
Day 12

Bolaven – Champasak – Khong Island (B)

We proceed to Champasak to explore Wat Phou, an ancient Khmer Hindu temple perched atop a hill near a freshwater spring. This secluded temple offers breathtaking vistas of the Mekong Valley. At its summit, you'll find intricately carved rocks resembling a crocodile, a naga, and an elephant. Subsequently, we drive to Khong Island, part of the Si Phan Don region, renowned for its 4,000 islands.
Day 13

Khong Island (B)

We continue our exploration of Khong Island by boat, beginning with a visit to Ban Khone to trace the remnants of the French colonial era, including the historic Don Det–Don Khon railway. We then visit the picturesque Liphi Waterfall, also known as the Somphamit Waterfall, which forms a natural border between Laos and Cambodia. After returning to Ban Nakasang, we drive to the impressive Khone Phapheng Falls, the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia, often referred to as the "Niagara of the East."
Day 14

Khong Island – Pakse (B)

We proceed by road to Ban Khiet Ngong to begin our hike up Phou Asa Mountain. At the summit, we encounter Vat Phou Asa, an ancient stone structure believed to be a temple, offering panoramic views over southern Laos. Later in the afternoon, we arrive in Pakse, where you are free to explore at your leisure.
Day 15

Pakse Departure (B)

Depending on when you are scheduled to leave, you might have additional time to unwind or independently discover more of this delightful town before being transported to the airport for your departing flight.
