Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to hotel for check-in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Trang An & Ninh Binh Tour (B, L)
Drive through rural northern Vietnam to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam to visit the Temples of King Dinh & Le. After lunch, take a sampan on a river through the rice paddies to Trang An where is called “Inland Halong Bay”. Later, drive back and arrive at your hotel in Hanoi in the early evening. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi City Tour – Lao Cai (B, L)
Take full day city tour to visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, his House on stilt and One Pillar pagoda. Next, visit the Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam and the Museum of Ethnology where you can learn different life aspects of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam. Late afternoon, enjoy a cyclo tour to visit the Old Quarter & Ho Guom lake then watch a performance of a traditional Water Puppet Theatre. In the evening, transfer to train station for a night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train.
Day 4: Lao Cai – Sapa (B)
Upon arrival in the early morning, pick up for breakfast then transfer to Cat Cat village, home of the H’Mong ethnic minority people. Here, you will enjoy a walking tour through the village, you will meet & talk with the local minority people and you will also have opportunity to share cultural experiences when you visit some families that live in the area. Late afternoon, transfer back to Sapa for check in at hotel then have free time for relax or discovery the town by yourself. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 5: Sapa – Lao Cai – Hanoi (B, L)
Transfer for a walking tour through some hills tribe villages: Lao Chai & Ta Van, home of Black H’mong & Dzay people as well as Ta Phin village, home of Red Dzao people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Once stood in the valley, you can really appreciate the wonderful scenery that surrounds you. Late afternoon, transfer back to train station for a shower then take a night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.
Day 6: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Arrive at Hanoi train station in the early morning. Pick up to mini hotel for rest and breakfast then leaving Hanoi for Halong Bay. Enjoying the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields. Upon arrival, board a overnight cruise to discover the legendary Halong Bay. Enjoy full board meals and many indoor & outdoor activities. Overnight on the cruise.
Day 7: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hue (B, L)
Join a Tai Chi session then enjoy an international breakfast while the cruise cruises among hundreds of islets before coming back to the pier. Drive back to the airport for a flight to Hue. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hue.
Day 8: Hue Tour (B, L)
Enjoy a full day tour in the former imperial capital of Hue. A boat trip on Perfume river to visit Thien Mu pagoda then visit to the Imperial Citadel. After lunch, visit the elaborate tombs of King Khai Dinh & King Tu Duc. This guided tour gives you a deep understanding about King’s philosophy of geomancy and how this affected royal life. Overnight in Hue.
Day 9: Hue – Hoian & Sunset Cruise (B)
Leave Hue for Hoian, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries. After check in & short rest at hotel, transfer to a dock then take a boat trip to a local fishing village. Here, you will enjoy the river culture, bird life, local farming and the other daily activities of the local people. During cruising, you will also try some local foods & drinks on the boat. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 10: Hoian Old Town Tour & Tra Que Village (B, L)
Enjoy a walking tour through the ancient town to visit the former merchants’ homes, the old Japanese Covered Bridge & the colorful market then you will visit to the home of a craftsman in the old street where you will discover the daily life of local people and see how they make a lantern. Later, take a short ride through the countryside to Tra Que village where you will observe a cooking class for some local foods, enjoy a traditional foot massage then learn how to plant vegetables like local famers. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 11: Hoian – Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Free time to enjoy the beach until transfer to airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check – in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City Tour & Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
Driver to Cu Chi district to visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi. After lunch, transfer back to the city to visit the main sights including the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace, War Remnants museum and the famous Ben Thanh market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B, L)
Transfer to Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, take a boat trip to discover Cai Be floating market. Next, transfer to a workshop where you can observe how the locals make rice paper, coconut candy, pop rice and enjoy Vietnamese traditional music then take a small sampan to feel the real Mekong river. After lunch, visit to a brick kiln before taking another boat to Vinh Long, the center of tropical fruits and stopping for a short visit at Vinh Long market then transfer to Can Tho City for overnight.
Day 14: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Wake early to visit the famous Cai Rang floating market by a boat trip. Continue the boat ride to visit the Mekong Delta’s famous fruit orchards and sample the fresh, exotic fruit. Then explore deeper into the countryside, passing traditional houses made of wood and palm leaves as you observe the activities of the local people. Return to Can Tho for lunch then driving back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 15: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
After breakfast, take free time for your own activities until transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
