Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D) Our tour guide will greet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel for check in. Free at leisure. In the evening you will attend the performance of the famous Vietnamese traditional art of water puppetry then enjoy welcome dinener at local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 2: Hanoi – Hoa Lu & Tam Coc – Hanoi (B, L) Drive through rural northern Vietnam to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam to visit the Temples of King Dinh & Le. Take the sampan on a river through the rice paddies to the grottoes of the sacred Three Caves. In the afternoon, go back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 3: Hanoi City Tour & Night Train to Lao Cai (B, L) Take a full day city tour including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, his house on stills, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature and Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Late afternoon, enjoy 1 hour rickshaw tour in the Old Quarter and the Restored Sword Lake. Then take the night train to Lao Cai, Sapa. Overnight on the train. Day 4: Sapa (B) Upon arrival, transfer to Sapa for breakfast then enjoy a light trek to Cat Cat village of Black Mong minority. In the afternoon, free for leisure. Overnight in Sapa. Day 5: Sapa – Lao Cai & Night train to Hanoi (B, L) Have a 4 hours trek to Lao Chai village of Black Mong minority and Ta Van Village of Dzay people, then drive to the Ta Phin village of Red Dzao people. In the evening, go back to Lao Cai Railway Station for night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train. Day 6: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D) Arrive in Hanoi in early morning, enjoy “Pho”, the Vietnamese typical breakfast and depart for Halong Bay, enjoying the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields. Upon arrival, board a traditional wooden Junk to discover the legendary Halong Bay. Enjoy full board meals and many indoor and outdoor activities. Overnight onboard. Day 7: Halong Bay – Hanoi & Flight to Hue (B) Join a Tai Chi session, enjoy an international breakfast while the boat cruises among hundreds of islets before coming back to the pier. Drive back to the airport for your flight to Hue. Pick up and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hue. Day 8: Hue, the Ancient Imperial Capital (B, L) Enjoy a full day tour in the Former Imperial Capital of Hue. A boat trip on Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Mausoleum of former Emperor Minh Mang. After lunch time, visit the elaborate tomb of King Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel. Overnight in Hue. Day 9: Hue – Hoi An, the Old Town & Port (B) Leave Hue for Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries. In the afternoon, walking through the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ homes, the old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colorful market. Overnight in Hoi An. Day 10: Hoi An – My Son, the Holy land & back to Hoi An (B, L) A half day trip to My Son, visit the museum and the holy site, then head back to Hoi An. After lunch, enjoy cycling tour in rural area of Hoi An with visits to some of traditional villages. Overnight in Hoi An. Day 11: Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh City (B) Free time to enjoy the beach until transfer to airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check – in. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City Full Day Tours (B, L) After breakfast, Proceed to take the city tour including the city’s bustling Chinatown with a visit to the Thien Hau Temple & Binh Tay Market. After lunch time, visit the War Museum, the former Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office, the Opera House and City Hall. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 13: Tay Ninh & Cu Chi (B, L) Depart to Tay Ninh town (105km ) – the headquarter of one of Vietnam’s most interesting indigenous religions, Cao Daism. Feel free to take photographs while attending their noon praying ceremony. After Lunch, heading back to Ho Chi Minh City with a stop in Cu Chi to visit the legendary tunnel system which had been once a nightmare for American troops in Vietnam, learning one of the hidden secrets of Vietnam’s magical victory. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City– Can Tho (B, L) Depart for Mekong Delta for a visit of the Floating Market and Countryside Tour. Boat cruise to the colorful floating market of Cai Be and then followed by a visit to some local factories that produce rice paper and coconut candy. Lunch is served at a fruit orchard before further cruise to discover beautiful landscapes. Overnight in Can Tho City. Day 15: Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D) Cruise to the colorful Floating Market of Cai Rang and local villages in Can Tho, the heart land of Mekong Delta and then go back Ho Chi Minh City for farewell dinner and overnight. Day 16: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B) Breakfast & Free time for your own activities until transfer out to the airport for departure flight.
