Day 1: Hanoi Arrival & Half Day City Tour
Upon arrival, our guide will greet you at the airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. After short rest, transfer to visit Literature temple–the first university of Vietnam which was built in 1070–It’s gardens and well-preserved architecture will provide a relaxing insight into Vietnam’s past. Continue the trip with a cyclo tour to visit Old Quarter & Hoan Kiem lake then watch a Water Puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Ninh Binh Tour (B, L)
You will embark on a journey south of about 100 kilometres to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of the Dinh & Le dynasties dating back to the 11th century. After lunch, you will continue to nearby Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its outstanding natural beauty and the scenic karst formations which contribute to its reputation as being the “Halong Bay on land.” On arrival, board a small boat and meander lazily down the peaceful river while passing through a series of caves. Late afternoon, return to the pier then transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Depart for Halong Bay, enjoying the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields. Upon arrival, board a cruise and start cruising around the bay to see the amazing karts with different formations and then stop for a walk through the Sung Sot cave–“Amazing Cave”. There will be plenty of time for kayaking, swimming and sunbathing (if weather permitted) after the cruise anchors at a clean calm sea. Enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner on the cruise before resting to the comfort of your room. Overnight on the cruise.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Breakfast, fruits and coffee will be served. Continue to cruise farther before stopover at the pearl farm to see the actual cultured pearl of fishermen. Back to the cruise for checking out while the cruise will take you farther to discover the hidden beauty of the bay. Cooking class opened right on the cruise for everyone who are interested in cooking Vietnamese food. Lunch will be served on the cruise before you arrive at the harbor. Drive back to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, pick up & transfer to hotel.
Day 5: Mekong Delta Tour (B, L)
Transfer to Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, taking a boat trip to discover Cai Be floating market where local people sell, buy and exchange goods on their boats. Next, transfer to a village where you can see how the locals make rice paper, coconut candy & pop rice. Here, you will also enjoy free local’s specialty products, discover daily activities of locals and enjoy Vietnamese traditional music then take a small sampan rowing by hand of local to feel the real Mekong river. After lunch, free for short rest then visit to a local brick kiln before taking another boat to Vinh Long, the center of tropical fruits and stopping for a short visit at Vinh Long market then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Departure (B)
After breakfast, visit to the War Remnants Museum–originally opened in September 1975, it exhibited the old military equipment from Vietnam War. Continue to visit the Reunification Palace, formerly the Presidential Palace that was the sight of South Vietnam’s surrender in April 1975. Walk down to see Notre Dame Cathedral and General Post Office which are beautiful examples of architecture from the French colonial period. Finish at famous Ben Thanh market then transfer to the airport for your own departure flight.
