Thay Pagoda: 30km southwest of Hanoi, Thay Pagoda is one of famous attractions dedicated to Thich Ca Budha, Sakyamuni and 18 arhats. Built in the 11th century during the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong, Thay Pagoda consists of three sections: the outer part for offerings and ceremonies, the middle part for worship of Buddha and the inner part for worship of the monk Tu Dao Hanh, the master after whom the pagoda is named. Interesting sites can be visited outside the main pagoda are Phat Tich and Cac Co Caves. Van Phuc Silk Village: Silk weaving in Vietnam spreads over the country but one of the most illustrious traditional region for silk weaving located in the north-west of Ha Dong town. The talent hands of Van Phuc weavers with traditional skills has been creating many sophisticated types such as cloud type, sand type, crepe, brocade and satin,... which are highly appreciated by local and overseas customers. Products of Van Phuc has a typical traditional value which is considered as symbol of traditional beauty.
In the morning: Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi and depart for Thay Pagoda. Learn about Viet traditional architecture style, Vietnam Buddhism religion & daily life of local people outside the city of Hanoi. Then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon: Take a short drive to Van Phuc and spend full afternoon to discover the silk village. Walk through the village, visit different homes to observe the silk weaving process. Taking photos & shopping there until 4:30pm. Leaving Van Phuc Silk Village to hotel.
