Routes: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnel– Nha Trang – Hoian – Hue – Hanoi – HaLong Bay Travelling through Vietnam by train can be the most memorable and rewarding way to experience and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Vietnam. This 11 days program will introduces you to highlights in the South, the Centre and the North.
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (D) Our tour guide will greet you at the airport and then transfer to your hotel for check in. Free at leisure. In the evening, welcome dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnel (B, L) In the Morning, you will visit the main sights including the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Palace and the famous Ben Thanh Market. After lunch, drive to Cu Chi district (75km from HCMC) to visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi then go back to Ho Chi Minh City for overnight. Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Day Train to Nha Trang (B) Free at your leisure in the morning. In the afternoon you will board the train and travel through the lush green paddy fields up the coast, arriving Nha Trang in the evening. Overnight in Nha Trang. Day 4: Nha Trang Beach (B, L) Pick up at your hotel then transfer to the dock to board the boat for Nha Trang Bay. You pause at the Tri Nguyen Aquarium with a collection of sea fish. You then head out to Coral Island. Should you wish, there will be opportunity to swim and snorkel in secluded bays. From here you continue to Mini Island where you have the choice of relaxing on the beach or for the energetic. Lunch is a feast of local specialties prepared on the island before boarding our boat back to Nha Trang harbour. Overnight in Nha Trang. Day 5: Nha Trang – Night Train to Da Nang (B) Today you are free to continue relax in the finest beach in Vietnam until transfer to Nha Trang railway station for night train to Da Nang. Overnight on train. Day 6: Da Nang – Hoian City tour (B) Following our morning arrival in Da Nang, visit the famous Cham Museum with its collection of relics from the Cham Kingdom. After that, continue to Hoian where you can wander around the old streets, a mixture of Japanese and Chinese architecture that reflects its history as an important trading port. Overnight in Hoian. Day 7: Hoian – Hue (B, L) In the Morning, you transfer to Hue, the cultural capital of Central Vietnam, stopping at the Lang Co beach for lunch and Hai Van pass for photograph, before touring Hue to visit the Imperial Citadel, Thienmu pagoda and Tu Duc tomb in the afternoon. Overnight in Hue Day 8: Hue – Day train to Hanoi (B) Today, you will early check out at hotel and get on the train for your day journey to Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 9: Hanoi City tour (B, L) Today you will begin to tour Hanoi, visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda the Museum of Ethnology and the Temple of Literature. Afternoon you walk around Hoan Kiem lake before enjoy one hour cyclo ride around the Old Quarter. In the early evening you will attend a performance of a traditional Water Puppet Theatre. Overnight at Hanoi Day 10: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L, D) Heading out of Hanoi to Ha Long Bay, on arrival you cruise this UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoying a leisurely boat trip through the bay stopping to explore some of the many islands, caves and grottoes. Lunch is serviced on the boat. In the afternoon go back to Hanoi for enjoy farewell dinner in Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi Day 11: Hanoi Departure (B) Free time until transfer to airport for you own departure flight.
