Best known for their historical monuments, ancient relics and fine examples of local culture, the central coast Vietnamese cities of Hue and Hoi An are both recognized as UNESCO World Heritage sites. Many of these areas are surprisingly still intact and trips to both cities hold promise for great times and memories.
Day 1: Arrival in Hue (D)
Our tour guide and driver will pick you up and transfer to hotel for check-in. Free at leisure in the afternoon. This evening your taste buds will be tantalized with a wonderful Vietnamese dinner at a charming restaurant. Overnight in Hue.
Day 2: Hue (B, L)
Begin your exploration of Hue with visits to the Imperial Citadel, the Hue Royal Fine Arts Museum, the Mausoleum of Tu Duc. Lunch at a local restaurant. On the trip back to your hotel, you'll take a cyclo ride through the shady laneways near Khai Dinh's mausoleum. Overnight in Hue.
Day 3: Hue - Hoi An (B, L)
Visit the 500-year-old village of Phuoc Tich, enjoy lunch back in Hue at one of the city's most renowned restaurants, Ancient Hue. Travel south to Danang City via the scenic fishing village of Lang Co and a visit to the Cham Museum. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 4: Hoi An (B,L)
Take a step back in time with a tour around the ancient port town of Hoi An, much of which remains as it did hundreds of years ago. Lunch at local restaurant, followed by a tour of the countryside by bike to view rice fields and villages. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An Departure (B)
Free at leisure for your own exploration. You may take a Vietnamese cooking class, book a private speedboat tour of Cham Island and its surrounding Marine Park before transferring to Danang Airport for departure.
