Routes: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Hue - Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnel – Mekong Delta
This 11 days trip covers most of the highlights in Vietnam. It goes from the Colonial City of Hanoi, the majestic Halong Bay National Heritage Site, the charming town of Hoi an, the holly land My Son, the culture city of Hue, the hustle & bustle of Ho Chi Minh City, the legendary Cu Chi tunnels and the mighty Mekong Delta. The trip will gives you a memorable journey from North to South Vietnam.
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to hotel for check-in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 2: Hanoi Full Day Tour (B, L)
Take a full day city tour including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, his House on stilt and One Pillar Pagoda. Afterwards, visit the Temple of Literature- the first university of Vietnam and the Museum of Ethnology where you can learn different life aspects of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam. After Lunch, a rickshaw tour to visit the Old Quarter and the Lake of the Restored Sword. In the early evening you will attend a performance of a traditional Water Puppet Theatre. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Depart for Halong Bay, enjoying the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields. Upon arrival, board a traditional wooden Junk to discover the legendary Halong Bay. Enjoy full board meals and many indoor and outdoor activities. Overnight onboard.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi & Flight to Hue (B)
Join a Tai Chi session, enjoy an international breakfast while the boat cruises among hundreds of islets before coming back to the pier. Drive back to the airport for your flight to Hue. Pick up and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hue.
Day 5: Hue, the Ancient Imperial Capital (B, L)
Enjoy a full day tour in the Former Imperial Capital of Hue. A boat trip on Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Mausoleum of former Emperor Tu Duc. After lunch time, visit the elaborate tomb of King Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel. Overnight in Hue.
Day 6: Hue – Hoi An, the Old Town & Port (B)
Leave Hue for Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries. In the afternoon, walking through the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ homes, the old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colorful market. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoi An – My Son, the Holy land & back to Hoi An (B, L)
A half day trip to My Son, visit the museum and the holy site, then head back to Hoi An. After lunch, enjoy cycling tour in rural area of Hoi An with visits to some of traditional villages. In the everning, transfer to airport for a shot flight to HoChi Minh City, upon arrival, pick up and transfer to hotel for check in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnel (B, L)
In the Morning, you will visit the main sights including the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace, War Remnats museum and the famous Ben Thanh Market. After lunch, drive to Cu Chi district (75km from HCMC) to visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Depart to Mekong Delta for a visit of the Floating Market and Countryside Tour. Boat cruise to the colourful floating market of Cai Be and then followed by a visit to some local factories that produce rice paper and coconut candy. Lunch is served at a fruit orchard before going back to Ho Chi Minh City for overnight.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
Free until transfer to the airport for departure flight.
