Day 1 – Hanoi Arrival (L)
Welcome to Hanoi! Begin today with a visit to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and then to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, for a touch of history. After lunch, a cyclo ride steers you through the busy streets of the Old Quarter where shops and markets fill the laneways. You’ll have the ticket for a performance of traditional water puppetry. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2 - Hanoi - Halong Bay (B,L,D)
Start your journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta to Halong Bay. Board a luxury wooden boat for an overnight journey. Sail past rock formations and enjoy the tranquil scenery as the boat meanders its way through the bay.
Day 3 - Halong Bay - Hanoi (B)
As the boat cruises back to the pier this morning, enjoy breakfast and more stunning scenery. Disembark at the pier where your car is waiting to drive you back to Hanoi. The remainder of today is at your leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 4 - Hanoi Departure (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, this morning is free at your leisure for last minute shopping and sightseeing before transferring to the airport for your onward departure.
