Hanoi and its surroundings have so many things to see and to do. A mixture of city tour and handicraft village tour will bring you a quick look at our history, culture, traditions and local art.
 Itinerary: In the morning: visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his former residence (closed on Monday, Friday and the whole month of Oct & Nov), One-Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon: depart for the famous Bat Trang pottery village with history of 500 years, surrounded by fertile farmland. Watch the artisans forming, painting and glazing their products, which are then baked for several days in huge kilns learning about the intricate pottery skills from the host of pottery artisans; then practice making some pieces following an artisan's instruction and explanations; walking along tiny ancient alleys to visit Bat Trang temple.

This tour will take you to the unique ones, including Bat Trang Ceramic and Pottery; Van Phuc Silk; Ha Thai Lacquer ware; Dong Ho Painting village. Spare at least a day to tour these villages - they are the perfect places if you are in love with the local arts and crafts. Itinerary: In the morning: our guide will pick you up from the hotel. Cross the Red River to Dong Ho village and visit some families who have practiced traditional wood-engraving painting for generations. Out next stop will be Bat Trang pottery village. You'll stroll in the small alleys of this old village to watch local people producing their fine products and visit some of the houses used as workshops and showrooms. Join the local crafts and make your own product - a lovely souvenir from Vietnam. Time for lunch. In the afternoon, you'll drive southward to Van Phuc village, a small village that was once the creator of fine material for the robes of the Royal Court. The local families have specialized in weaving and dying silk over many centuries, and retain some of the ancient secrets that make their distinctive fabrics. Also take your time to visit Ha Thai village, which has been famous for their lacquer ware - Vietnamese unique products. Trip ends at around 5:00 PM.
