Routes: Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Sapa – Halong Bay – Hue – Hoian –Myson - Da lat – Nha Trang – Ho Chi Minh City – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi – Mekong Delta – Phu Quoc Island
This 21 days tour covers the length of Vietnam, from north to south. Travel at a leisurely pace by canal boat, rowing boat, junk and cyclo to experience the beauty and variety of the natural landscape in the whole of Vietnam. Transporting you through fruit plantations, stalagmite caves and picturesque creeks to imperial citadels, presidential palaces and ancient ruins, the Grand Vietnam Tour is perhaps the most comprehensive travel experience on offer anywhere in Vietnam.
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D) Our tour guide will greet you at the airport and then transfer to your hotel. Free time at leisure. In the evening, welcome dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 2: Hanoi – Hoa Lu & Tam Coc (B, L) Drive through rural northern Vietnam to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam to visit the Temples of King Dinh & Le. Take the sampan on a river through the rice paddies to the grottoes of the sacred Three Caves. In the afternoon, go back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 3: Hanoi City Tour & Night train to Lao Cai (B, L) Take a full day city tour including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, his house on stills, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature and Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Late afternoon, enjoy 1 hour rickshaw tour in the Old Quarter and the Restored Sword Lake. Then take the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train. Day 4: Lao Cai - Sapa (B) Upon arrival, transferred to Sapa and enjoy light trek to Cat Cat village of Black Mong minority. In the afternoon, free at leisure. Overnight in Sapa. Day 5: Sapa – Lao Cai & Night train to Hanoi (B, L) Have a 4 hour trek to Lao Chai village of Black Mong minority and Ta Van Village of Dzay people, then drive to the Ta Phin village of Red Dzao people. In the evening, go back to Lao Cai Railway Station for night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train. Day 6: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D) Depart for Halong Bay, enjoying the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields. Upon arrival, board a traditional wooden Junk to discover the legendary Halong Bay. Enjoy full board meals and many indoor and outdoor activities. Overnight onboard. Day 7: Halong Bay – Hanoi & Flight to Hue (B) Join a Tai Chi session, enjoy an international breakfast while the boat cruises among hundreds of islets before coming back to the pier. Drive back to the airport for your flight to Hue. Pick up and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hue. Day 8: Hue, the Ancient Imperial Capital (B, L) Enjoy a full day tour in the Former Imperial Capital of Hue. A boat trip on Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Mausoleum of former Emperor Minh Mang. After lunch time, visit the elaborate tomb of King Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel. Overnight in Hue. Day 9: Hue – Hoi An, the Old Town & Port (B) Leave Hue for Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries. In the afternoon, walking through the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ homes, the old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful market. Overnight in Hoi An. Day 10: Hoi An – My Son, the Holy land & back to Hoi An (B) A half day trip to My Son, visit the museum and the holy site, then head back to Hoi An. Afternoon, enjoy cycling tour in rural area of Hoi An with visits to some of traditional villages. Overnight in Hoi An. Day 11: Hoi An – Nha Trang via Da Nang (B) After breakfast, transfer to Da Nang airport for a short flight to Nha Trang, the most beautiful coastal city in Vietnam. Overnight in Nha Trang. Day 12: Nha Trang (B, L) Today, your tour guide accompanies you on leisurely boat ride to unspoiled Hon Tre Island and then continues to Hon Mum Island, the best island for snorkelling and scuba diving in Nha Trang. Stop for seafood lunch on the Island. Afternoon: Cruise back to the main land to enjoy hotel’s facilities. Overnight in Nha Trang Day 13: Nha Trang – Da Lat City (B) After breakfast, car transfer to Da Lat City, known as the "City of Eternal Spring". The drive is long but views are fantastic. Upon arrival, check in at hotel. Free at leisure. Overnight in Da Lat Day 14: Da Lat City (B, L) Depart to visit Lat Village of Lach people in Langbiang Mountain. After visiting the wooden church and long house in the village, keep going to the top of Langbiang with the elevation of 2169 m. From here, you can enjoy the great view of beautiful Da Lat city. You can do some rock climbing if you want then come back to Da Lat for lunch. Back to your hotel. In the afternoon, you can either relax in the hotel or discover Da Lat on the bicycle. Day 15: Da Lat City - Ho Chi Minh City (B) After breakfast, take free time until the car transfer to airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, pick up to hotel for check-in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 16: Ho Chi Minh City tour – Cu Chi Tunnel (B, L) In the Morning, you will visit the main sights including the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Palace and the famous Ben Thanh Market. After lunch, drive to Cu Chi district (75km from HCMC) to visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City Day 17: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B, L) Depart for Mekong Delta for a visit of the Floating Market and Countryside Tour. Boat cruise to the colourful floating market of Cai Be and then followed by a visit to some local factories that produce rice paper and coconut candy. Lunch is served at a fruit orchard before further cruise to discover beautiful landscapes. Overnight in Can Tho. Day 18: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L) Cruise to the colourful Floating Market of Cai Rang and local villages in Can Tho, the heart land of Mekong Delta and then go back. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 19: Ho Chi Minh – Phu Quoc Island (B) Transfer to the airport for flight to Phu Quoc Island. Upon arrival, our tour guide will pick you up at airport for transfer to hotel. Free at leisure. Overnight in Phu Quoc Island. Day 20: Phu Quoc Island (B, L, D) Depart for the South of the Island for visiting the pearl farm of Australia, the vestige of coconut prison and find out about daily activities of fishermen at An Thoi port & dry seafood market. Keep going to Sao beach for swimming, sunbath, enjoy fresh seafood. After lunch, Continue to go and visit the East of the island for visiting Ridgeback dog & Phu Quoc collection of local person. Go to visit Ham Ninh fishing village, Dinner and overnight in Phu Quoc Island. Day 21: Phu Quoc Island – Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B) Breakfast & Free time for your own activities until transfer to airport to fight to Ho Chi Minh City Airport.
