This trip combines some visits to a wide variety of ethnic minority groups generally retaining their lifestyle, traditional costume with high mountains, deep ravines and terraced fields of Vietnam will excite your spirit of adventure. In this tour, you also visit and stay with Dzay and Tay family for learn about their village life.
Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai
In the Evening: Car pick-up from your Hotel to transfer to Hanoi train station to catch the night train to Lao Cai. The train is comfortable with air-con and soft berth.
Day1: Lao Cai - Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will have 16 km of trekking, visit Y Linh ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van villages of the H’mong and the Dzay minorities. After lunch at a local family in Ta Van, keep hiking around the village of the Dzay & H’mong where you stay overnight in a local family for you to get to know their daily life of the local people: work, custom, embroideries, clothes...Overnight at the Dzay local house.
Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Ban Ho (B, L, D)
In the Morning: Take pancake which is made by your host family; continue to discover Giang Ta Chai village, then Su Pan village of the red Dzao minority. After picnic lunch, keep hiking to Ban Ho, the village lies within a beautiful valley, home to the Tay minority people who have their traditional house on stilts and we will spend the night here. Overnight at the Tay local house.
Day 3: Ban Ho – Nam Toong – Sapa (B, L)
In the morning: Walking to a very nice waterfall discovered and named “the Lavie” by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Enjoy swimming then go up to the mountain to visit a small hamlet of the Red Dzao people called Nam Toong, then get back to Ban Ho for lunch then go up to the main road to take a jeep to Sa Pa. Car pick up you for transfer to Lao Cai for the night train to Ha Noi.
Night 4: Lao Cai - Hanoi
5AM. Night train arrives in Hanoi.
