Routes: Siem Reap – Hanoi – Halong Bay – Hanoi
Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival
Upon arrival, our guide will greet you at the airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 2: Angkor Thom and The Grand Circuit (B, L)
Transfer to visit Angkor Thom, fortified city of Angkor Thom (12th century) covers an area of 10 square km. Enter by the monumental South Gate over a causeway lines on either side by the statues of demons and gods, each statue carries a giant Naga. Continue to the Elephant Terrace and the Leper King Terrace, former spaces for public ceremonies, both adorned with dramatic bas reliefs. Visit the ruined Baphuon, Royal Enclosure and Phimeanakas before continuing to the mysterious Bayon Temple. After lunch, you will visit to the highlights of the Grand Circuit including Neak Poan, Eastern Mebon, Pre Rup and Preah Khan. In the late afternoon, watch sunset over Angkor Wat then return to town. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3: Angkor Wat and The Small Circuit (B, L, D)
Visit to the highlights of the Small Circuit including Prasat Kravan, the royal bathing pond of Sras Srang, Banteay Kdei, Takeo and the jungle-clad Ta Prohm. After lunch, you will visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. As you enter the main building, ascend through a series of galleries and courtyard before reaching the central sanctuary, which offers beautiful views back over the causeway and across the surrounding countryside. In the evening, enjoy a dinner with traditional dance show. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 4: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake – Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast, you head to the exquisite Banteay Srey (“Citadel of the women”). The temple displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art. The visit is also combined with the discovery of Banteay Samre. After lunch, transfer to Phnom Krom for a boat trip on the Tonle Sap Lake. This is a great opportunity to learn about the life of the people in this village. Here, you can observe life in the Khmer stilt villages from the banks of the river as the local fisherman count their catch and prepare it for the markets. Return to the town then head to the airport for flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, our guide will greet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Depart for Halong Bay, enjoying the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields. Upon arrival, boarding a traditional wooden junk and enjoying the drink and having lunch of savory local seafood. Check into your cabin and start cruising around the bay to see the amazing karts with the different formations: Lion, Tea Pot, Toad, Dau Nguoi (Human Head) islet and then stop for a walk through the Sung Sot cave “Amazing Cave”. There will be plenty of time for kayaking, swimming and sunbathing (if weather permitted) after the junk anchors at a clean calm sea. Enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner on the junk before resting to the comfort of your cabin. Overnight on the Junk.
Day 6: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L)
Breakfast, fruits, coffee and tea will be served. Continue to cruise farther before stopover at the pearl farm to see the actual cultured pearl of fishermen. Back to the junk for checking out while the junk will take you farther to discover the hidden beauty of the bay, taking photos many islets with striking shapes such as frogs islet, turtle islet…Cooking class opened right on the junk for everyone who are interested in cooking, especially cooking Vietnamese food. Lunch will be served on the junk before you arrive at the harbor. Drive back and arrive Hanoi in the late afternoon. Free to explore the city by yourslef. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 7: Hanoi Departure (B)
After breakfast, take free time for your own activities until transfer to the airport for your own departure flight.
