A spectacular new trek exploring impressive temple ruins “off the beaten track” of the main Angkor Temple complex. Visit the earliest permanent temples built by the Khmers. Stumble upon relics and remains of Cambodia's recent past. Trekking through forests and villages and even swimming in waterfalls.
Day 1: Arrival Siem Reap (D) Upon arrival in Siem Reap, transfer to the hotel for check-in. The afternoon you are free to explore the markets and Pagoda’s around town and get a better look what Cambodian life is all about. Dinner in local restaurant with Khmer cuisine. You will have a tour briefing before dinner. Overnight in Siem Reap. Day 2: Siem Reap – Phnom Bok Camp (B, L, D) After breakfast, you depart for a long and interesting trek to Rolous group including Lolei, Preah Ko and Bakong temples. After exploration you head to Wat Lohok which you will explore and where you will enjoy a break and a snack. The continuing trek leads you through small rural villages and over sand paths to Phnom Bok Camp. Our camp is set up for you already and you have some time to catch a breath before you take off for a climb up 640 steps to the ruin of Phnom Bok. On top of Phnom Bok you will enjoy sunset and a magnificent view over the plains below. Dinner and overnight at campsite. Day 3: Phnom Bok – Banteay Srey Camp (B, L, D) After breakfast at campsite you head to Banteay Srey, the best preserved temple in Cambodia, which offers stunning base relief and other stone carvings. After lunch you continue to Wat Lor. The road to these temples passes pretty countryside and it’s a true relaxing experience. Our catering team awaits you at camp and supplies you with some excellent food. The friendly and curious locals will not stay away too long. Dinner and overnight at the campsite. Day 4: Banteay Srey Camp – Angkor Wat – Siem Reap (B, L) After breakfast at camp you transfer a bit to the starting point of our trek towards Angkor Wat, one of the most impressive religious monuments in the world and represents the Khmer heritage. You also visit the former capital Angkor Thom (Bayon, Terrace of the Elephants) and Ta Prohm. Ta Prohm is famous for its massive overgrown trees. Late afternoon you cycle to Banteay Kdey and explore this massive complex before you head back to Siem Reap for refreshing ourselves and dinner. Overnight in Siem Reap. Day 5: Siem Reap Departure (B) After breakfast you are free to explore the town of Siem Reap and shopping for souvenirs at the local market known as Psa Chas (Old Market). Transfer to the airport for departure flight.
